“Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.” -Barack Obama
“If somebody wants to build a coal power plant they can, it’s just that it will bankrupt them because they are going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted,” -Barack Obama
There is something seriously wrong with this. Energy prices have finally come down and he claims that he wants them to go right back up?
just another case of how much he cares about the middle class, i mean, who doesnt love expensive energy! i had not heard of this before, idk how reliable the website is, i hope its true though, maybe one person will read it and change their minds about who they vote for. i personally dont need another reason to vote against him

I am confident that Southern will reduce gas/electric prices on Wednesday. They have all had a good ride on inflated prices, but how long will it take the rest to respond, and Who will be last?
I aint heard anything about this but welcome the news.

The price is the same no matter what the source, it is the cost of production that varies. Cheaply produced power, like from hydro power tends to hold the price down. As daily demand increases the use of more expensive power generators increases and the price rises with demand.

My supplier, Eon, has just sent me notification that it intends to increase my monthly payments by £60.00 even though I am in credit. How can they justify this? And can I refuse to pay the extra?
the reason they use is :-
you used more power last quarter than the quarter before and the trend is that you use more power each quarter than the quarter before
they have done the same to me.

I am playing big on oil trading. I’m from Morgan Stanly, or Goldman & Sachs, or any big firms on the Wall Street .
I bought millions and millions of barrels of oil when they cost $60–$100 a barrel. I expect to make a kill when I sell. But right now it’s only $135 a barrel. So here is my difficulty No.1 :
Congress is now investigating on oil speculation, I am afraid of being caught. But if I sell them right now, I would end up with little or no profit since the trading fees and hedge fund managing cost are not cheap.
I already request my agents send the spin out to the media, like: “Oil future looks high, expecting to be in the range of $200 a barrel soon. ” But it does not work price up as fast as I expected.
So my question is this: How do I corner the market price up in time so not to get caught by Congress.?
For your info: Prof. Michael Greenberger’s testimony before Senate makes me very nervous. He said: ‘If speculation were reined in and trading rules tightened, the cost of crude oil could drop 25 percent.” http://www.mcclatchydc.com/staff/les_blumenthal/story/39611.html
My lobby firm can work Republican party to stall passing the laws, but I am not sure for how long. I am very fearful and worried. What are the options for me ? Please advise.

Will the new power exchange have any impact on the share values of Tata Power, Torent Power, JP Hydropower and GVK Power ?
To be frank…it should not.
But then you need to keep tracking the rates on power exchange and who are the sellers / buyers. If the rates start going up and the sellers are one of the companies mentioned by you, the share prices of the company will be positively affected for sure.
In general the data might reveal the demand - supply positions and will be guide-factor about the power sector.

If anyone has lived or lives in San Francisco and could tell me what the average monthly price of your water/electricity bill is, that would be great. I need to know this for a project.
Electricity and Gas averaged $89/month this year. Low of $66 in July. High of $120 in March.
Water is around $40/month. It should be lower but my building doesn't have individual meters for water. They only started charging for water last year. It used to be included in my rent.

About 13.7 cents per kWh for residential. Varies a bit by demand.
