If you have the sensible power of 6.9 kVA and a double meter. One that charges you for a day price and changes for evening price daily at 8pm in the winter and 9 pm in the summer the price will be…
Day price-0,1132 per unit
Evening price of-0.0614 per unit
On the top of that you have 5%VAT
Also have to pay for the meter every moth or second month and the price for each moth is 15.3700
Its bloody expensive.
Coming from a colder country probably you will not need so much eating in the first year and it will be ok. But be prepared….electricity in Portugal is more expensive than in most european countries.
When aware you can save a lot.

your units are wrong…it is not kW/h but instead kWh…power times time. How many hours in a year, times 5W, divided by 1000 to get k (kilo), then $0.10 per kWh you calculated.

You have to base your cost on the Wattage of your Power Supply and how much you computer is running. A 400W power supply will be cheaper than a 1000W power supply if both machines are always on. If you only run the 1000W machine a couple of hours a day and never turn the 400W machine off, than the 1000W machine will be cheaper. I have heard recently in the news that customers using prepay are paying way over the odds. The cost of my billed electric is 11p a unit, what do people pay who have a prepay meter?
